For me the solution in pseudocode, the synthax is too esoteric for me.
SRCVERSION line and the "case" bellow it are removed
the 2 if else blocks are changed in to 3 blocks
if [ -L "usr/share/doc/$PKG" ]; then #if folder is a link
whats now here plus SRCVERSION thing
else
if [file is a link, 4 varants]
change the links plus SRCVERSION thing
else #real file
old else plus SRCVERSION thing
fi
fi
