I think this might already be fixed as far as there is a missing part of
the last sentence for the Gaim menu directions. On doc.ubuntu.com it
looks ok and in the svn repo it looks ok, but on my edgy box it doesn't.
Something to do with the entities I guess.

This is a duplicate of bug #43150. We are trying to fix the xmaxima (and
other maxima frontend) problem. We don't provide the newer packages for
Dapper unless they are fixing security or major bugs. If you really want
a newer maxima you could file a dap

then we can backport the fix in dapper. We need ppc users to test the edgy
packages to narrow down a fix.

we can't simply say "Oops, lets use the Breezy
version" after release. We need to figure out what's causing the problem

Can repro. On my G4 iBook it looks like this:
In GDM (i.e. without GNOME running) the iBook goes into Standby when the cover
is closed. As soon as GNOME is running, closing the cover only locks the
screen. There is no Standby and no suspend2ram in this case. cat
/sys/power/state prints "disk" on
By a lucky coincidence I found out that uninstalling the hibernate
package seems to resolve the problem. Keywan can reproduce this effect,
too. Anybody else?

The problem is that the cernlib package split out these deps into
seperate packages with cernlib 2005.dfsg-1 . For instance geant is now
built by the geant321 source package in Debain instead of cernlib. I
believe it's the same situation for the other deps. We need to get the
new source packages
The version of maxima in Dapper was compiled with a gcl version that
seems to have introduced this bug. It also appears to affect all maxima
frontends. We are working on getting approvals for gcl and maxima for
dapper-updates.

Well, the short answer is my script was really basic and I had separate ones
for Debian and Ubuntu. For Debian I used:

I personally cannot see how this is an intuitive "feature" at all - I am
a seasoned Linux professional and this "feature" had me very confused
when I wanted to do nothing but resize my window while the titlebar was
off-screen.

around for days wondering why I'd get a context menu (along with the
actual 'move' mouse cursor). Weird behavior IMHO. There's got to be a

Just wanted to add that we are experiencing this same problem (6-school
Ubuntu/LTSP5/FF install). A fix would be pretty nice, because this issue
is causing our thin clients to hard-lock constantly with regular usage.
Not very fun for the students, and the image of Linux/Open source

This is being handled in Debian currently, Michael Banck, et. al are
still working on a few issues [0]. We will make sure to sync openbabel

Actually, PI() does work, PI doesn't and apparently shouldn't. Can you
either give use a sample formula or spreadsheet? I'm not seeing a
regression here.

I only get this in Basic mode, all the other modes show the correct
number. Basically if I do anything that redisplays the results it works.
Weird. It apparently just doesn't move the results over properly.

Hmm, that spreadsheet works fine. You may need to have the gnumeric-doc package
install for the About dialog, although that seems a tad odd. In any case,
everything works for me, pi, sin, log, About. To get the version of gnumeric
you have installed, run:
dpkg -l | grep gnumeric
in a terminal
If there are specific important bugs to fix for Hardy we can do a Stable
Release Update (SRU) but I think there are way too many changes to just
sync from Debian for Hardy.

Thanks for working on this. I'm a bit unsure if this really rises to the
level of a SRU but on the other hand it looks pretty low-risk. I checked
the new Debian package but it's rather messy (469K debdiff mostly of
autotools cruft) for us to just take but your provided patch is
certainly reasonable
SRU ack'd. Normally the version would be 1.15.11-1ubuntu0.1 but I don't
think that's critical in this situation.

Well, we gotta pick something :-)
Right now the matplotlibrc sets the backend to be GTKAgg, which of
course you can easily change and upstream encourages you to make you're
own .matplotlibrc . I'm just saying that we should probably be
consistent between the default backend and the default install
We can do an SRU (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates). If
somebody would like to work that up for a rebuild I'm sure we can get
that done pretty quickly . We'd need to see more information such as
upstream changelogs and debdiffs/diffstats before syncing new packages
though.

Sorry Murray, haven't had much time lately to look into this. I'm asking
the Technical Board for clarification on microreleases.
What would be the lowest version of glom that would fix this bug? From
Loïc Minier's investigation above going from 1.6.0 to 1.6.6 seems to
