I agree! It took me several weeks to figure out where to get and how to
install the RT5390 driver. I was ecstatic when I did! Happy as a lark
... then just applied the updates and the wireless broke again :( still
working on getting it back. Ubuntu should work on the support for the
Ralink drivers!
Banshee still crashing after proposed updates, removal of banshee
/home/USER/.cache/.banshee-1 and /home/USER/.config/banshee-1 files, and
reinstall banshee. Loaded all my media and played a few mp3 files, then
apropo it crashed after Waren Zevon's song about dieing " My Shits
Fucked Up".

You
This is a bug, because you can not open some paths and get to such
directory content on the FTP server. Midnight Commander nor Nautilus can
be used for accessing paths outside of the FTP root directory which are
created as symbolic links. FileZilla on Linux has no problem, I can open
symbolic links
And one more thing, if I lock (ctrk+l) desktop, this bug doesn't come,
both monitors have correct settings when I power them off and on. Only
when the desktop is active-unlocked

Sorry, Alexander, #4 above didn't show up on my screen until now.
I have nothing on my sidebar called "Filesystem". I have something
called "Files and Folders" but nothing in it looks like what you wrote.I
am using version Ubuntu Netbook Remix and the desktop is different than
a regular Ubuntu.
OK I finally found the apt. It hasa files called sources.list
which is empty when I left click it. It also has two other files called
sources.list.distUpgrade and sources.list.save both of those are
full of text. Is any of that what you want?

I upgraded to 10.04 when it came out. What I pasted starts out talking
about 9.04 but ends up talking about 10.04. Actually this pasted text
(above) looks like what was in the other two files in my apt that had
text in them.
