The problem is the package pam-kwallet.
You can uninstall it, then there is no zombie process anymore, but kwallet asks
for a password, when an application needs the credentials. So you have to type
your password twice.

The unclean shutdown/reboot is more often now, because I use the nouveau driver
instead of the nvidia driver.
But the nouveau driver does not support hibernate (suspend to disk) with my
graphics card, so I have to shutdown/reboot normally.

After downgrading the package xserver-xorg-core to version

Unity compiz and Xorg processes are not growing, this seems like a KDE +
Nvidia + Xorg issue.
I tested firefox without hardware acceleration, but still growing kwin
and xorg processes.
You can easily reproduce this, when you start in KDE the system monitor krunner
(Ctrl+Esc), then search for kwi
The apport cmd, described in comment #9 , doesn't work and cannot
resolve the package names(?), and the processes apport-collect and
apport-kde run with low CPU usage (a few percent) and doing nothing
(tested ~ 30 min), so I cannot attach the automated logs.

xorg-server-core package, the problem persists.
You have to downgrade all xorg* relevant packages to a version before the

In 12.04.x proposed there is patched wpasupplicant package, which solves
the problem to 90 percent. Give it a try!
There are random disconnects, but it is stable most of the time. From my

mod_, so a mpm module is named mod_mpm_$name.
mpm-itk should keep this naming and should be renamed to mod_mpm_itk.so

I use thunar in an openbox environment. When I boot the system and open
thunar, more often than not, the trash bin is missing. When I quit
thunar and restart it immediately, then the trash bin is back.
I don't know what is the reason for this phenomenon.

I noticed the following: this bug happens if I have lightdm and some
other login manager installed (say gdm or slim). Then lightdm starts at
boot even if it's not the default login manager. Then lightdm is shut
down and the default login manager kicks in. After that, there seems to
be a network con

In the links above, some people said that the "preferences"-setting is a
global setting and that the setting for individual files has to be set
in "Document > Line Wrapping". But that does not work for me either. The
only think that works for me here is "Line Breaking" but that is very
often unwant
Why not do it like this: remember if bluetooth was switched on or off at
logout and switch on/off accordingly after next boot.
This would solve the autostart issue, since bluetooth is no longer in
the autostart menu, people not using bluetooth would not have to switch
it off every single startup.
Other applications which have this bug are a new instance of Thunar
(when one is already open) and GPicView.
