My apologies! I remember getting very frustrated by this bug when
converting generically named tracks (Track 01.mp3), but I can't seem to
reproduce it on the latest updates as of now - perhaps it's been fixed
upstream?
I'll do a few more tests - In any case, I'll be sure to report back if I

It's possible; I wiped many config files on updating from 8.10 to 9.04,
which would have removed any custom pattern and would have 'fixed' the
problem for me, if what you say is true... could somebody confirm? (I'm
at work at the moment, I should find time to test when I get back.)

it safe by reporting nonetheless...)

Of course, the log is extremely large (>10MB) however thanks in part to

Just in case this helps, here's just the section that documents the bug.
I tested it by copying over 30 blank MP3s all starting with "This is
actually a blank MP3 and not anything else, remember", and the bug came
up a few times.
Thanks a lot :)

Hello, I'm posting because I've just successfully set up my PS Eye
camera in Ubuntu 12.04, 64-bit.
Sound does still not work out of the box but it's very easy to set up. I
didn't need to install anything!
Here's the instructions, but check my very slight edit below:

(If it shows up but sound does not register, try unplugging it, plugging
it in again, and running the hotplug command: "pacmd load-module module-

I can confirm this on this PNG.
Basically, it's massive (2400x1091px and nearly 1MB in size) and with
tons of (troublesome?) transparency. This was fine as a launcher in
plain GNOME, but when used in Unity - not that I'd want to with the
square-shaped icons, but still - it made it very, very slow.

On Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit, all updates applied. Used Rhythmbox to try and

My mistake, it was a 160GB iPod Classic.
RAM usage did not go down again once the transfer was completed, nor
when the iPod was safely disconnected. It returned to normal once
Rhythmbox was shut down, however.

Reproduced on the same system on a smaller scale - Rhythmbox doubled in
memory usage (from around 70MB to 140MB) when transferring ~150 songs to
the same iPod. Surely it should be able to transfer one song, then
remove it from RAM and do the next?
