Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
On Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit, all updates applied. Used Rhythmbox to try and transfer ~12GB of songs (about 3000) at once to a fairly new iPod Classic 180GB. Ended up using 3GB of RAM (filling it up) and spilling over to 5GB of swap space. System is hard to use when no RAM is available, and it seemed to use more space as the transfer went on. Expected outcome: Rhythmbox should NEVER use 8GB of RAM! ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Huge memory usage when transferring many songs to iPod https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/630930 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
