Can you try to ssh to this "affected" system from outside? My experience is
(was) even if the system is frozen, the ssh terminal is active and is not aware
of freezing.
This will help you in looking at the logs and current running processes.

I have same problem, however for me, the package "dconf" is NOT
installed. If I try to install it suggests to remove "dconf-tools",
"ubuntu-desktop" and "unity", which is abusrd! So could there be a
problem with dependencies as well?

I am not sure whether my problem is exactly same, although the symptoms
are same: Overheating and abrupt shutdown. (The problem was not there on
11.10). I have Dell Vostro 3700, NVIDIA, core i7 with Ubuntu 12.04
(development version), kernel 3-2-0-6.

I am facing the same problem. I have DELL VOstro 3700 with core i7,
NVIDIA, Broadcom 4313.
Earlier the system used to hang whenever I try to access wireless. I got
a work around for the same by uninstalling broadcom drivers those were
from Ubuntu repo, and downloaded from Broadcom website.

I tried to enable "Zeroconf Service Discovery" in K-Menu->System
Settings->Network Settings.
Checking "Enable Zeroconf network browsing" and "Browse local network"
throws a "command not found" error.
It looks like the script /usr/share/avahi/

Step 3 says "Once highlighted go to Print Server → Share Printers on
Local Network. " This option is not present in the printer config
module.

Yes -- it is the same issue. The KDE tool seems to be expecting that
script. Either the script should be included or kdebase should be be
changed so that it can manage printer sharing configuration.

"/var/log/dist-upgrade/term.log" is empty (I don't know why that is). I
did do the install over SSH, so that might have something to do with it.
I can attempt to do the installation locally if necessary.

I'm editing using PHP mode. When I set the sourceHoverBackgroundColor
property in org.eclipse.dltk.ui.prefs it sometimes works right after I
restart eclipse then reverts to black, and gets set back to 0,0,0 in the
file. #9 worked for me for now though.

Later I used right-click over Inbox icon and select "compact" option.
So at this time, the old emails where removed and real size of Inbox
reduced.
This worked for me.

On Ubuntu 20.04, the binary_bios_measurements do NOT contain the
measurements for the kernel binary and the kernel signer cert that is
typically measured by the shim.
This is behavior is NOT consistent with Ubuntu 18.04 where the
measurements are present.

Hi Steve,
What about the scenario where the signers are different for kernel and
grub? For example, if the kernel is signed using a self signed cert and
loaded using MOK.
I am trying to do that right now but the kernel fails to load when
signed with a MOK key.

I was able to boot the kernel and I was able to validate that the Mok
entry does appear. We can close this bug now since its not an issue.
