Binary package hint: adept-installer
I found this problem after I initially marked a package for removal but
discovered that removing it would also result in packages I need being
removed.
Steps to reproduce:
* Open Adept Installer

Hi,
Yes, I do have CONCURRENCY set to shell.
Just tried resetting it to none and naming the init script back to its
original name and hald starts OK. So I'd guess this is a problem that
won't affect most people so isn't a high priority. Perhaps something
worth changing for the next release but no
I suspect this problem may be with X rather than xscreensaver.
I have just had an almost identical crash when I started Google Earth.

I have had a similar experience with upgrading to Hardy.
The new kernel managed to mount my root filesystem (/dev/hda1) but
failed to mount any more of them. running "fdisk /dev/hda" and "fdisk
/dev/hdb" I received an error message that the devices did not exist.
In addition, either the upgrade o
The suggested do-release-upgrade -d did a complete upgrade, but after
it, I was left with a completely broken system, with the kernel unable
to see any of my partitions and every filesystem superblock corrupted. I
don't know if this is because of the upgrade method or some other
problem: bug 213884
Just noticed the title of this bug specified "386" kernel. My problem
was with an AMD 64 kernel.
