I can confirm the bug with the up to date feisty. It's quite annoying,

The shell profile in ipython is not working properly. Using apt-cache or
apt-get fails with different errors, presumably because ipython
interprets the dash in the middle of the command as a minus operator.
To reproduce:

the sh-profile. This is not an upsteam problem, afaik. Even the ipython
manual mentions the use of apt-get with tab-completing package names.

boot up Gnome Do somehow automatically starts itself two times in a row
thus leading to the situation where neither of the opened GD's respond
to commands, so I have to kill them both from the task manager before I

Doesn't seem like it. Exact same symptoms: 'start gdm' reports a pid,
but gdm does not come up. syslog shows that it tried to spawn too many
