subsystem (e.g. battery status), the mouse stop working for some
seconds, the keyboard too, and sometimes the sound and disk too. (just
for some seconds..)

If I print 2 or 4 pages in one page A4, the print is similar to the
result obtained printing only one page, but the alignment is very bad.
Now I can't print more than one page per page... :-(
With previous version of evince in Ubuntu Dapper, all worked ok.

I own an Acer Aspire 162LM Laptop that suffer of this same bug.
Frequently, when I make a high I/O use of the disk I see that the system
Freeze fore some seconds and in the dmesg I see:

I've installed Feisty Fawn.
The graphics is working well... but I must add "DisableIRQ" "true" in
xorg.conf.
The 3d isn't working... When I run 3d application the screen become
black and the system freeze. I have to put out the battery!

Same problem.
I own an Acer Aspire 1362LM vith VIA K8n800...
With 2d, and "via" xorg.driver in Ubuntu Feisty (and "DisableIRQ" "true"
in xorg.conf") all works well.
But with 3d applications, the screen become black and the system freeze.
Only hardware reset is possible

I have a similar problem with Ubuntu edgy. The problem occur only when I
run 3d applications.
The system hangs and I can't have a bug report.

I have Ubuntu edgy. Since Dapper drake the via drivers in X.org worked
well... but with 3d applications the system hangs.

I can confirm.
I have a ASUS ASPIRE 1360LM laptop with a Via Unichrome Pro IGP.
The video card is a K8M800 and works very well with 2d applications like
photo, web, email, video, ecc...
The problem is when I run 3d applications...
Tha systems freeze and I can'd to anything. No alt+FX, no ssh...
I removed the active plugin.
The error never repeated. I think it was an occasionally problem.
I decided to signal because I think it may be useful to have a debug
dump.

I've find a solution.
I think is a Linux kernel problem with mouse's multiplexer.
I've added "i8042.nomux" to the booting kernel and the problem goes
away.

I can confirm that the IRQ problem is related to the via driver, because
when i set the string
Option "DisableIRQ" "true"
in the xorg.conf the kernel message go away.
