installation completes and a window pops up with "reboot now" and
"reboot later". clicking "reboot now" doesn't seem to do anything.

I want to print a test page. I clicked "ok", and the page printed

after resuming from suspend, the network applet shows the spinning wheel
as it tries to connect and the black image appears showing the network

I'm getting the same problem with a Lenovo S12 with Intel 945GME
graphics chipset. How can I help debug this? When the screen is blank,
I can't do a "control-alt-F1" to get to a different shell to diagnose
the problem.

in Ubuntu Netbook Remix, I used the "switch desktop mode" to switch back
to the more normal style ubuntu desktop view instead of the netbook
view. When doing so, I now have issues with firefox and evolution
windows being maximized with no win

killing nm-applet and restarting it looks good... no black message
image/icon shows up, though.
when setting the system to sleep (shutting lid of my laptop), the system
wakes from sleep and then displays:
Network
"Disconnected. You are now offline"
in a black box at the top right of the screen
also, I see no problem when I pass "nosplash" on the kernel command line
(set using grub)...

I'm running Karmic netbook remix, and my broadcom sta wireless driver
stopped working with the latest upgrade sometime in the last two days.
linux-image-2.6.31-12 or linux-image-2.6.31-13, but booting with
2.6.31-12 doesn't seem to fix the problem.

I uninstalled bcmwl-kernel-source (searched synaptic for "broadcom") and
then rebooted, and then installed "bcmwl-kernel-source" and the wireless
is working now. Also, linux-2.6.31-13 was updated today, so that may
have helped. Jockey now reports the broadcom wireless driver in use
correctly. pl
Well, I actually did a search for "broadcom" in synaptic, and then did a
"complete removal" of all packages related to "broadcom" (3 of them) and
rebooted, then re-installed those three packages, and then upgraded the
system using apt-get, and there was ANOTHER 2.6.31-13 kernel upgrade in
addition
works fine with my desktop: evolution 2.26.1-0ubuntu2 but not on karmic
netbook remix...
also, evolution (karmic) doesn't show the attachment icon (paperclip)
like the older version does... bug also?
