Hello. Whenever I try to burn a DVD disc using the "CD/DVD Creator
folder" on Ubuntu 9.04, it goes super slow. If I burn a full 4.5 GB DVD,
it takes me around 40 min (if I'm lucky).

So, I tested Karmic alpha 2, running on live cd. It was exactly like when I
activated UXA on Jaunty. The whole System crashes after less than a minute.
On Karmic, all I need was to open a window to make it crash. I thought it was
because of the fade animation. But I couldn't deactivate the effect
Just tested Ubuntu Karmic Final Release and it still freezes my system after I
log in to gnome (less that 10 seconds). It's sad to know that Ubuntu is
incompatible with my computer now.
Kubuntu runs as smooth as always, though running Blender 3D also freezes
Kubuntu.

If you change the Close/Minimize etc icons position back to the right,
through gconf-editor, their borders didn't use to look nice. Now they
do, but only if the window is at the top. All the other windows' buttons
look like before.

No, that's not the same issue here. Running from the live CD, it freezes right
after desktop shows, even before I can move the mouse. I tried to upgrade from
Karmic Alpha 6 (in which I can use it for minutes till it freezes), with

Same thing happens here. I'm not really sure what causes this, but the
program which triggers this the most is Empathy (Especially with the
contacts window). And it doesn't seem to get better as updates come.

Regardless of what becomes the default behaviour, I think #7 is a great
idea. It's informative, helpful for begginnes and will also sort of
address the issue of "nothing matches your search" appearing when the
user first opens the Dash and types nothing.

I can confirm this. The way it works is terrible, because the shared
folder will appear on the network just fine, but then when you try to

never worked on my computer. Before the animation, it simply didn't
happen (I had the feature turned on) and now it happens like this, so
maybe the problem is not in the animation, but the feature itself?
