Public bug reported:

Installing any GUI app from the software center breaks the session with
a visual glitch that hides everything. This is probably related to the
new animation when installing apps (the icon flying to the Launcher),
because it only happens when the Software Center is set to lock new apps
to the Launcher.
I believe this is really bad since this is going to be the default
behavior.

I'm on a Intel Graphics machine (lspci output attached)
