no, the dependencies aren't wrong. The tarball you downloaded is
standalone (contains all the library it needs) so it doesn't need any
other thing . When developers package a software the do their best to
reuse existing installed software and that creates the dependency concept.

Hi ,
i used the *grp* module of python to get the admin GID so normally the
issue should be fixed.
Since Fabio and Oliver have a different GID for the admin group. it
makes them good candidates for testing :-p . ( just kidding ;-) )

beta5 I was using GID 117 so the backup shouldn't belong to the admin

The good thing is the problem comes from Restore (but the backup is

As for the cleaning up you have done , the beta 11 new code would have,
somehow, done it . Itwouldn't have deleted the whole snapshot dir but

It seems that the module name specified in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base for
at least cx88_alsa is not valid anymore, so we get a regression (this
module is taking the index 0 ). I have fixed this on my computer by
changing :
options snd-cx
Even though I believe in you and in a fix has been done, This fix
doesn't solve the issue . I have downloaded the Gutsy desktop CD of
today and install it and the problem still occured.
Please check if the fix works well, and if it has been included in the
LiveCD

I confirm it too ( on 2 different computers ) . Since correcting this
issue wouldn't seemingly require a version upgrade of vlc, I don't think
it is wise to just let go .
I don't think the importance of this bug should be set to low. It's very
annoying.

Be careful, this version will REMOVE every incomplete backup dir in
the backup dir. An incomplete snapshot is a dir named like every
snapshot but that doesn't contain a 'ver' file.
