Evolution waits for response from internet server.
It should first ping it, and if not aviable exit, but it instead just waits and
waits.
Also it could hide main window, and continue waiting, but currently user is
left with grey window that he can't close.

Nope, I have tried everything.
Pretty much it is very simple, bios expects something from the system on
resume. I am pretty sure it is something that is very OS specific. It is

I confirm this.
I tried to change theme in gtk-qt config page in system-settings, doesn't work.
I even installed gnome-control-center, and tried to change theme there.

This is very old bug, and it is related to the fact that the above panel looks
at smbpasswd file
which isn't present anymore on newer samba.
It is possible to make samba use smbpasswd file, but it doesn't worth the
hassle since
even then this panel just shows the current users,
/network/interfaces.
Although I will loose the ifup/ifdown command this way...
Maybe it is better to have an opt-in option for dual control (both ifup and
networkmanager) ?

This driver was just merged to linux-mtd tree, and soon will be merged
upstream, and will appear in 2.6.34
I will backport it to 2.6.32 too soon.

basicly it is very simple, ID_CDROM_MEDIA_SESSION_LAST_OFFSET isn't set by udev
helper, cdrom_id, if there is just one session on disk (common case), and thus

I have seen that nand core very rarely doesn't detect it.
Then try to load the drivers with debug=1 (both r582 and sm_ftl support it)

Then modprobe still tries to use ubuntu's mtd drivers.
Do you have '/lib/modules/2.6.31-21-generic/extra' with drivers inside?
If so, you might remove, or move it to some other place the
'/lib/modules/2.6.31-21-generic/kernel/drivers/mtd'
And then run 'depmod -a' (with sudo of course)

Here is ported version to 2.6.32.
Tested on ubuntu lucid kernel.
This package includes my driver and minimal mtd subsystem.
Just download it, do
make
sudo make install
sudo make load
I also included in that package a nice icon for xD cards, and udev rule to make
them work better with devicekit
I have confirmation that this hardware works just fine, just like I
thought.
If its possible include that patch in ubuntu

Now I ported & tested the driver on 2.6.31 (9.10 kernel)
This package should work on all kernels from 2.6.31
Note that before you load that driver, you need to unload 'ricoh-mmc' driver,
because it conflicts with this driver.
Proper fix included in 2.6.34, and to apply the fix to older kernel, y
It is shame to see eclipse-cdt gone from ubuntu 10.4!
I installed it via eclipse update system, and it works just fine, and actually
is much better that version in ubuntu 8.10 I used before.
