Closing bug 24828 (by blacklisting the IPv6 module) made my IPv6
disappear. I use autoconfiguration, and now the module isn't loaded
anymore.
The blacklist file speaks of ifupdown -- but I don't see a way of
enabling it using autoconfig
The problem is not in the hardware, the problem is in the DNS servers
that don't reply to requests, instead of properly replying NXDOMAIN
or some other error code.
The right fix might be to fix the resolver to look up ipv6 only after
ipv4 lookup has failed, and/or to be more explicitly config

As mentioned in the Gnome bug: the ~/Pictures folder isn't created by
default, and programs like F-Spot use ~/Photos. It also isn't documented
anywhere, making it hard to discover how to add pictures.
Please apply some more pressure to upstream, of provide SOME hint of how
to fix it.

I have an USB "handset" (it's a "voip phone": an USB soundcard with some
keys for dialing), which works fine in Windows.
In Linux however, only the sound part works correctly. I get the popup,
and playing sounds works correctly. The 'hid' driver also recognises
_something_ HI
