The problem is not in the hardware, the problem is in the DNS servers
that don't reply to AAAA requests, instead of properly replying NXDOMAIN
or some other error code.

The right fix might be to fix the resolver to look up ipv6 only after
ipv4 lookup has failed, and/or to be more explicitly configurable in
that respect, imho.
