Public bug reported: Binary package hint: module-init-tools
Closing bug 24828 (by blacklisting the IPv6 module) made my IPv6 disappear. I use autoconfiguration, and now the module isn't loaded anymore. The blacklist file speaks of ifupdown -- but I don't see a way of enabling it using autoconfiguration in /etc/network/interfaces -- interfaces(5) only talks about 'manual', 'loopback', or 'static'. Removing IPv6 support is a bug. All major operating systems (Vista, OS X) have IPv6 support out of the box now. ** Affects: module-init-tools (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed ** Description changed: Binary package hint: module-init-tools Closing bug 24828 (by blacklisting the IPv6 module) made my IPv6 disappear.
