In 16.04 LTS I don-t have problems to boot in graphical mode, but in

Andrea, no it never happened again. Virtualbox is used in a daily basis,
as well as dual monitor setup. I think it got solved perhaps on the
unity 7.2.0+14.04.20140423 which is the installed version.

Not everyone is willing to upgrade to Oneiric as just yet. I have a 10.04 in a
Lenovo T410 and this is far the most stable Ubuntu version I have ever used.

hapening. While screensaver is disabled, monitor is turned off when
watching a full screen movie, what obey me to move mouse periodically,

I was using the net for more than 10 hours, made downloads. All was working

I confirm the same problem exists with Maverick. It is not possible to
change the status to away in Pidgin using the Me Menu, as mentioned
above, the msn goes offline when doing that.
