Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: screen

Using screen, mouse support in console via gpm is lost.

In gnome-terminal, mouse support can be enabled in screen by type in
screen terminal:

TERM=xterm

And this only works for applications opened after this line typing. In
pure console, there is no way to do mouse works. I heard that this can
be a bug with this screen version and newer versions can solve this
problem, but I don't have certainty. Please verify.
