When I change the hardware configuration for a running virtual machine,
using virt-manager, it does not work. That's OK, changing hardware while
a machine is running is usually not something works on real hardware
either. The problem here is
I consider the "are you sure?" dialog window to be a sufficient fix for

piuparts needs to be fixed to work well on Ubuntu out of the box. This
is one of the things. The workaround for this problem is to use the
option --skip-minimize. You will probably want to use the option --no-
symlinks as well.

In an interesting change of events, this was filed before 1.10.3 was
uploaded, on the request of the person doing the uploading. At the time
of filing, 1.10.2 was going to be uploaded, but that needed a further
change, bumping the version number.

I've now done an upgrade following Alberto's instructions and did it
successfully. I will next do it again without upgrading l-r-m manually.
I had to actually install l-r-m on the gytha system before upgrading. I
only had a version specific version of it installed.
