Going to the console and looking at the processes I see that the last
processes are:

Yes, I saw that message. However, the point of a package manager is to
automatically install jdk-6-doc.zip and jdk-6-doc-ja.zip. Neither are
installed manually hence the bug report.

I've checked and the problem seems to be there in Feisty as well. The
end result is that a lot of packages specified in the kickstart
installation don't get installed.
I'm wondering if the workaround isn't to have a shell script which loops
the installation of each package until the return value

Hibernation seems to not work at all, the machine stays on, along with
the screen's light, and then after a few seconds, the fan starts revving
up till it hits full speed, CPU seems to get *really* hot. The screen
is blank, though, and the machine does not seem to respond to any
keyboard or mouse

ogg123 never starts to play audio. Instead it hogs the CPU and runs at
or about 100%. Giving it 5 or so minutes does nothing except make the
hardware heat up. This is on a macbook pro core 2 duo.
