is movable. My 8.04 Live CD works to bring up the system. I think I have
a video driver problem.

I don't know how to get root authority to cd to the directories you
want. I have tried the sudo command without success.
I am the installer so I would think I would have authority with my
password, but it's not working.

Right after 8.10 became available, I attempted to upgrade from 8.04, It
crashed my PC, I finally managed to reinstall 8.04. Today I accepted the
Ubuntu online offer to upgrade to 8.10 that appeared automatically.on
8.04.

Firefox. But I exchanged the SATA II/300 or a PATA/100 (compatible with

trying 9.10 after reading about all the bugs it came out with.

If I remember correctly, I logged in using Kbuntu from the option at the
bottom left of the login screen. That got me in and then I think I
reaffirmed my log-in name and password to the same I had been using,
then re-entered in Ubuntu. So you may want to compare Kbuntu's login
code with Ubuntu's, a

After downloading T3, I cannot open it. Using Ubuntu 9.10, the opening
screen requires a nonexistent password. T3 is now useless to me. After
reinstalling T2, I get the same error. Some less-than-helpful
