Finally I've figured out a workaround, but this is really just a workaround.
1. Delete the following lines from the section in the
/usr/share/gconf/defaults/05_panel-default-setup.entries file
fast_user_switch
2. run
update-gconf-defaults
This will regenerate the gconf default file
It works for me on several production servers. The official v19 contains
approximately 15 extra patches, quite important ones. So it is really
worth the upgrade.

I had a word with the developer approximately 6 month ago and they fixed
the bug and the kerberos keytab handling is fully supported. It can be
enabled only by adding a compiler option there's no need for patching.

without changing anything on the source package and after installation
the error message does not appear anymore. So I guess we just need to
