Some nasty pstopdf bugs were fixed in cups 1.3.8-4, especially one that
caused it to try to write to /var/spool/cups/pdf even if the process
had no write access there.
Which version of the package do you have installed? If older than
1.3.8-4, please upgrade to the latest cups and try again. If
I suspect not since I do not have an Array definition in my mdadm.conf
yet I run into the problem with every reboot.

It turns out NetworkManager has its own mechanism for this. It took me a
while (almost no documentation...) to figure it out.
NM uses a dispatcher much like dhclient-exit-hooks.d. Instead of
separate directories, the script is always started, and given two

around with the restricted driver and also the newer fglrx provided by
ATI. None are very happy with xine video rendering so I'm using radeon.

i discovered something potentially interesting. With Pulseaudio running,
I get the "low mic volume" problem described in this bug. If I kill
pulse, and set the "Sound capture" setting in gnome-sound-properties to
"HDA Intel STAC92xx Analog (ALSA)" I still have the low volume problem.

But I've noticed one weird thing: when I click on the gnome workspace
switcher in the panel, the workspace switches as it should. But the
mouse pointer also jumps about 100 pixels to the right. Which it didn't
do with earlier versions of the synaptics driver (i.e., not from the
PPA).

Shift-U, the hexadecimal Unicode codepoint and a space/enter in Gtk
programs.
For instance, to input π one could type Ctrl-Shift-U, 03C0, enter.

Bug 94753 still doesn't have any proper retrace, so it seems as if this
is still an issue :-(.
Note that this bug isn't specifically about getting bug 94753 fixed.
It's about getting apport-retrace fixed so that bugs similar to bug
