This is a really annoying bug. In my opinion there is no good really to
mount /dev/sda1, the /boot partition from my previous install...
I was able to work around the bug by adding this to the %pre section in
the kickstart config:

For me, if I have one network device it magically maps to eth0 and it
works.
However, if there are more than Ethernet devices then nothing is mapped
to eth0 and it doesn't work. And by doesn't work, I mean the installer

Recently I found out, when I boot with headphones plugged in, the headphones
have sound and speakers not (this is OK), but when I then unplug the
headphones, then there is no sound from speakers at all. When I plug the
headphones back in, then they are working fine.
So it looks like the the swit
David, the "Startup program" runs "/usr/bin/pulseaudio" so I understand
it as it starts pulseaudio demon.
Actually I do not know how to make sure I have no alsa drivers installed, but I
did not installed any by myself, so I am assuming I do not have any additional
other than Ubuntu provides.

Slight improvement today.
After automatic alsa update (to 1.0.23-1ubuntu2.1) I rebooted and no change.
I tried to un-install alsa-hda-realtek-ignore-sku-dkms_1.0.23.diwic_all.deb and
rebooted and then microphone is working.

Daniel, connector dropdown has now "Analog speakers" selected. There are
also "Analog Headphones" and "Analog Output" options. Selecting
different option does not have any effect. I have sound only from
headphones, when plugged in, or no sound when unplugged. This is due to

certain ps documents that have graphics it just sits there forever

Evolution hangs on my Hardy Heron (amd64) install when my exchange

I know near to nothing about debian packaging but is something like :
