David, the "Startup program" runs "/usr/bin/pulseaudio" so I understand it as it starts pulseaudio demon.
Actually I do not know how to make sure I have no alsa drivers installed, but I did not installed any by myself, so I am assuming I do not have any additional other than Ubuntu provides. So I downloaded, installed and rebooted with no difference. It only muted internal mic in alsamixer after reboot, so I un-mutted it, but there are still the issues I described. I tried Ubuntu live cd I have (it is 10.04) and there is everything is working fine. I noticed it runs "/usr/bin/start-pulseaudio-x11" instead if mine "/usr/bin/pulseaudio" to start pulseaudio demon, so I tried it too, but it made no difference either. I was wondering if there something wrong with mine pulseaudio settings so I tried to delete all ~/.pulse content, but it also did not help. As there is 10.04 (from live cd) working fine, I am wondering if there is some debug output from pulseaudio I could turn on and compare it, to find out the difference which makes the things not working? -- microphone does not work with pulseaudio https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/667416 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
