I have tried both jaunty-alpha6 alternate x86 and intrepid alternate x86
images.
usb-creator (intrepid deb installed on hardy) made a stick that said "no
operating system"
or "operating system errors" on a dell optiplex 760. unetbootin made a stick
that booted.

I re-did the usb-creator due to the above thread's insights.
Apparantly the first time I did this some files were corrupted or the disk
didn't sync properly.
The jaunty-alternate-amd64-alpha-6 now boots OK and cdrom-detects works great.

I can confirm this bug on Dell Optiplex Desktops running an up-to-date
dapper. This problem did not exist on breezy.
Note that I did not use GUI tools to configure CUPS, I edited
/etc/cups/cupsd.conf and added ServerName myprintserver.mynetwork.ac.za.

I haven't touched the default cupsd.conf. I attach client.conf. I did the
ServerName and restarted CUPS, and it seemed to work. The gnome-cups-icon

In a network & quota environment, users are confused when they have
500M quota but Disk Usage Analyzer says 555G free.
Can baboab check whether the command quota exists, and use its output

I get this on Ubuntu 64bit jaunty with backports, up to date:

hibernate, switch user, and lock screen.
Some are done with polkit (suspend, hibernate) and then the suspend menuitem is
not shown on the session menu.
