The documentation I found about the "noatime" mount option told that it
breaks only a few applications (mutt, ...).
Why not defining a "relatime" package which would activate the
"relatime" mount option for all harddrives ? Otherwise the "nodiratime"
and "noatime" options wou

Hello,
On my previous Ubuntu version (Kubuntu 8.04), I had no sound issue with
the same movie and player.
I increased the buffer size of VLC ("very high latency" setting) but it
didn't solve my issue.
Note that boinc-client is running tasks

Maybe the flash player was in an odd state. Now it works on my side.

With the default settings, VLC seems to let the screensaver start (the
delay matches the screensaver delay). Thus the screen image is slowly
dimming to the blank screen (my screensaver) and it seems to be waked
just after the dimming has reach the end

The button is not for the computer poweroff but for disabling the
wireless adapter.
Maybe it is related to the proprietary drivers.
Basically I'm not sure it disable the wifi because I have no visual feed
back during the 30 seconds after I typed on the button. However I
