I am a Traditional Chinese User, and this is my personal opinion.
I also don't want to edit 69-language-selector-zh-tw.conf, and I agree
with Aron Xubug , the repor and fix should goes to upstream application.
the root cause is those application can not show Chinese word correctly

I'm on Ubuntu 10.10 and using ibus-chewing 1.3.7.20100910-1hychen1.
Whenever I type something using chewing then click on another window,
whatever I had typed becomes duplicated in first window. This does not
happen if I toggle

Cannot close candidate window with escape key since selected
ibus-chewing/1.3.9.2-2 does not fix this bug.
and I tested 1.3.9.2-1 with the patch landed in upstream git repo. it
works fine.
