[Bug 489973] Re: Nautilus cannot download OpenOffice files on a Secure WebDAV, but can transfer other files (PDF, DOC).

2010-01-21 Thread Greg Brown
Another clue: this problem did not occur on an XP box, with which I was able to download/upload ODT and WPD files. I have been unable to discuss this with the administrators of my WebDAV resource. -- Nautilus cannot download OpenOffice files on a Secure WebDAV, but can transfer other files (PD

New information: changing the file extension allows the file to be downloaded. Change an ODT file's extension to any extension that works, and the file may be downloaded successfully. It does not matter what the extension is, as long as it belongs to a file type that successfully transfers. Once

Public bug reported: This happens in both Jaunty and Karmic. I do not recall, being new to Ubuntu, whether it ever worked, but I seem to remember being able to transfer all files without any problems. >From home, I connect to my workplace server using Secure WebDAV. After doing so, the drive is

[Bug 484855] Re: OpenOffice can't open files on WebDAV share

2010-03-17 Thread Greg Brown
I have this same problem with my work WebDAV. If I rename an ODT file to a DOC file, it opens fine, but if I try to open an ODT file as-is, it fails. It won't even let me download any ODT to my local client--the error message reports that the file was "not found." Again, renaming the file to DOC

Another piece to the puzzle: I have tried removing the extension completely. The behavior is the same as if the extension were ODT. The file is "Not Found." Replacing the ODT extension with almost any other common extension results in my being able to move the files to my local machine, where I
