I tried the workaround with no effect.
I did try and type it in a command line:
install bttv modprobe tuner ; modprobe --ignore-install bttv $CMDLINE_OPTS
and got:

I don't have the normalisre plugin installed but still get:

Sorry, couldn't wait a month and a half for an answer as I'm running a business

Had the same problem after installation of Kaffeine using Synaptic.
No need to uninstall and sudo update thingy.
Just went back to Synaptic and found libxine1-all-plugins had not been
installed, so I just installed it.

There is no grub file in /etc/default.
My computer hasn't shut down in some weeks, so my electricity bil is rocketting.
The nvidia settings are now resolved with another bug report.
This seems to me to be a pretty big bug, but nothing concrete is being done.
