Some updates. After creating the new user i've copied all files of my
previous home dir to the new dir and i cannot login again, even with the
new user. To do some debug, i moved back all files, one by one, and I
discovered that the last lines in .bashrc prevent gdm from letting me
login.

I would not say that this bug is invalid. I've experienced the same
thing and i had to delete a facebook account from empathy and creating
it again to make empathy log in. So we have a solution but many user
will never come here and see it. This should be done automatically by
empathy.

There is an inconsistency in how the widget signals that they have
focus. We should have just one of them, so that the UI is more intuitive
and consistent. Attached screenshots presenting the issue.

applications using a tray icon, as evident in the attached screenshot.
However this also happens with other themes, so that could be a problem

Running latest Lucid lynx upgrades.
The volume control in the indicator applet does not accept anymore mouse
wheel events to adjust volume. That was a very nice feature to have.

I think a great usability tweak should be having the rhytmbox icon in
the indicator applet to accept mouse wheel scrolling to change song
(scrool up = next, scroll down= previous). Banshee does something
similar and i got addicted to it.
