HI, Thanks for reporting this bug and for helping to make Ubuntu a better OS. I can reproduce this bug only for the iptstate command. Other commands (e.g. top, powertop), when run as root, close as you close the terminal window. It might be a bug in iptstate command. I will also mark it as also affected.
