I've just updated to Intrepid alpha-1, 32bit. The booting starts and
then my monitor goes to sleep. After say 15 secs the monitor comes to
life again (green light indicator), but remains blank. The system seems
to be working ok, just the screen is blank.

Confirming with Dell usb keyboard and mouse. The system believes it has
a Macintosh mouse, the mouse does not react at all, the keyboard does. I
replaced the mouse by a targus optical mouse, which, apart from being
perversly pink, works very well.

This did not work out too good for me. the newly installed libqt-dbus
and libqt-network are not compatible (4.4.2) with my hand installed
liqt4-core (4.4.1) and libqt-gui (4.4.1). I had to reinstall them
manually again (ie download from i386 repositories, extract and copy to

The same issue here. In my case the behavior is kernel dependent.
With the new kernels (2.6.26-XX) I get this bug and have to boot without
usplash. With the 2.6.24-19 kernel the usplash works OK.

After having solved the bash vs sh issue I get an "Unsupported version" message
from TeXmacs. I have solved the problem by changing

On my 32bit Gutsy everything seems to work all right. I removed
.azureus/ before installing the package. azupdater is indeed installed
twice.

I create a pdf using LyX + pdflatex. The pdf file displays ok in evince.
When I print it, the text is very blurry, equations are ok. When I open

I wouldn't say dramatically. Evince seems to use a lot of memory (55 %
on my system), but I don't know if it is normal. When I try to print,
the cpu use reaches 100 %, the drops down and finally evince crashes. It
takes say a minute before it is so far.

completely messed up before now print reasonably and documents, where
half of some pages didn't print at all (a different bug) now print

Confirm a similar problem. Keyboard layout changes "work" by clicking,
in the sense that USA changes to CZE and back. Unfortunately, this has
no impact on anything else, I still can not type Czech letters. Then I
have to go to keyboard preferences and change something, for example the
keyboard type
It started to work ok two days ago. Before, the steps were quite easy,
the icon change would not work for any "Custom application launcher".
It also wasn't possible to add any "Custom application launcher" to the
(upper) panel.
Maybe an update has solved it. Maybe there was something wrong in my

i've upgraded from 11.04 to 11.10 and cannot get the system started properly
any more. When I pass nomodeset to linux kernel, it boots ok, but at some point

and then a long list of processes being stopped (GDM, so
have been waiting for 20 minutes now. guest: Stock 12.04 LTS server,
host: 12.04 lts lubuntu desktop. 8gb disk, 2gb out of 6gb memory. the
whole dist-upgrade process is rather slow, but these headers really kill
me.
