Oh I forgot: I'm running gutsy 32bit updated from feisty, with thunderbird from the repositories. There are two add-ons in thundebird: lightning 0.5 and provider for google calendar 0.2.1 + English language pack. Removing them solves the problem, but I guess we still don't want thunderbird to crash when there are some add ons ...
