I've also tested riverfr0zen's tip now, and it does not cure the problem
for me (both for general use or full-screen movie playback).
What it does seem to have done is extend the screen blank time from 10
to 20 minutes, which is a slight improvement, and my screensaver kicks

Thanks for looking at this. I am still using my ubuntu MX4 as my normal daily
phone and also have the BQ M10 tablet. Very sorry to hear Canonical have
dropped ubuntu touch, phones and tablets. I thought it was going very well,
when you consider what you have all achieved over the pas
report.
My guess would be its connected to the KiCAD update so will try
uninstalling KiCAD.

I confirm this battery drain occurs when the Sleekbook is turned off,
not suspended. For the doubters, how do you explain the difference
between Win7 and Unbuntu 12.10? I can actually use Win7 as a work
around, work in Ubuntu power down, boot into Win 7 and then power down
and I have a battery drai

As of 21:30 today (Sunday 23th Jan'12) I have fully charged my Sleekbook
battery and removed the back cover and disconnected the Battery. I will
report back in 10 days time ( 23/01/12 )on the battery status following
reconnection.

I have a HP ENVY 6 1006sa Sleekbook running Ubuntu 12.10. Fully charged,
unplugged Mains adaptor powered down. 48hrs later re-powered charge now

Sorry I meant it should be installed by default for Ubuntu AMD64 ISOs. I
did another clean install to day to test an upstream Kernel and had to
use Synaptic to install it as it is not included in the packages
supplied on Ubuntu ISOs. A non-technical user would not know this. There
