I've still got a broken dependency showing. I suspect this is because
the updated packages have been pushed into karmic-backports, without
also updating the packages it depends on. That to me seems to be a
direct result of the action here, so I do not think it appropriate to

I can fix this by changing a setting.
If I open up gconf-editor and select desktop->gnome->background I noticed that
it was false.
After changing it to true, I now have a background.
I didn't change this, I wonder what package has changed this value for
