I had the same issue and didn't even have the commented text in
menu.lst. I have a dual-boot (XP & Feisty) and upon updating the kernel
last night, the option for XP disappeared from the boot selection list
and from menu.lst. It's easy enough to fix but I can envision a more
non-technical user havi
I'm having the same issue w/a Dell Inspiron 5160. The boot process hangs
at the USB detection stage and then drops to busybox. I tried going back
to the last kernel but the same thing happened. Not an emergency for me
as this is a play system.

Can we get the importance of this bumped up? This is obviously annoying
a lot of people and there seem to be a number of fixes available for
implementation.

It's Hardy, but I don't think this is the same model touchpad. NONE of
the gestures work and this pad didn't exist in the Dapper or Edgy days.
The trackpads on the previous generation (non-Santa Rosa) MacBooks work

I am also experiencing this bug in kpdf and acroread, with a variety of
pdf documents on two printers connected to a box with a 64-bit install
of Kubuntu Gutsy. I don't seem to remember this problem occurring in
Feisty, but I could be wrong based on what I read on this page.

I can confirm that this bug exists in my AMD64 Kubuntu 7.10
installation. It occurs in both kpdf and acroread (v8.1.1), when I try
to print a variety of pdf documents on two different printers. Collation
appears to work fine when printing odt or html files. I'm attaching an
example of the problem.

Collate order function for multiple PDF pages printing does not work
I can also confirm that this bug exists in Ubuntu 7.04 for PPC. PDF
files printed from Evince will not collate when the option is checked,
but odt files printed from OOo Writer will.

fixed. The version from debian is a successful workaround for me.

I'm not sure that I agree with Timo's assessment.
I am experiencing this problem of a white screen after switching with
the fast user switcher. I can type my password into the blank screen and
the login is successful.
