I can confirm this bug on my Thinkpad T30 laptop, suspending from the
user-switcher menu is fine, only suspends via the FN-suspend button are
affected.

We have been able to backport the fixes for the iwl4965 and later
drivers. There are no fixes in later drivers for the iwl3945 as those
have been subsumed into the common intel wireless driver, which brings
this fix automatically for those cards, and they should therefore work
correctly in Jaunty.

serial console would keep the machine alive a little longer, seemingly
long enough to allow syslog to get the info out of the kernel and onto

Hardy and Intrepid freeze with kernel e
After some digging it seems that there have been a couple of clusters of
Eeek! panics. Those since 2.6.21 seem to have always appeared on
systems with Nvidia graphics. Looking through the numerous panics
reported here (with full stacks) I see that at least one of you is using
a proprietory driver

both the option and hso drivers, looking at the PCI ids you are
reporting here they appear to only be supported by the hso driver. I
would therefore expect only that driver to be loaded when they are
detected.

The upstream maintainer indicate that this is a missmatch between our
kernel and userspace. Specificially we are using portmapper in
userspace but have the kernel side of rpcbind enabled. Spun a patch to
disable CONFIG_SUNRPC_REGISTER_V4 and submitted it. Building some test
kernels now.

The new mode is still marked experimental (depending on
CONFIG_EXPERIMENTAL) so its not deemed ready for mainstream use. We
should have it disabled for the Jaunty cycle at least. It is likely
something to be considered for the K cycle.

available for your codec? You can find out which codec you have with

It seems there is not yet an upstream update for the dm-raid4-5 driver.
I have attempted a forward port of this driver and submitted it for
review.
