Problem also occurs with Hardy Alpha3 i386 (KDE). I ran into it after I
upgraded the world. I did not notice if it occurred with the vanilla
install.

When upgrading from Lemur to Meerkat, the /etc/alternatives links for
the SSE2 Atlas libraries were not updated. (The libraries were moved by
the upgrade.) The problem showed up as missing libraries when I tried
