It is still possible to call the import that way, and besides it should work.
(the files wxPython/wx.py exit for python 2.5 and 2.4, whatever version of
wxgtk you are using). This happens because wxgtk2{4,6} remove each other from
the python path, or at least seem to do so.

Seems to me that this is the similar to bug #80917. From the few tests I've run
so far, it happens because wxgtk2.6 is suppressed from sys.path when you
install wxgtk2.4. Could you guys try to do the following, to see if this is
reproducable for you:
1/ uninstall/reinstall python-wxgtk2.6 and t

ubuntu) does not accept any parameter for the 'type' command, thus exiting with

I looked a bit into the Makefile and it seems that lablgtk doesn't even link on
the X librairies.
Tested in a pbuilder without xlibs | xlib6g dependancy, and it builds fine
