Seems to me that this is the similar to bug #80917. From the few tests I've run so far, it happens because wxgtk2.6 is suppressed from sys.path when you install wxgtk2.4. Could you guys try to do the following, to see if this is reproducable for you: 1/ uninstall/reinstall python-wxgtk2.6 and try to reproduce (it should work as expected) 2/ install python-wxgtk2.4 (if installed, uninstall and reinstall) and try to reproduce. this time, it should crash as reported below Cheers
