still feels as if it was close to boiling after a few hours' runtime,
but there was no emergeny standby since then. However, this does not
have to be due to kernel improvements: Air temperatures have gone down

I think you got me wrong here. I might be able to get along with the
technical aspects. My knowledge as far as it comes to design aspects is,

During a test of PDFEdit 0.4.3-1, I noticed the following:
On the attempt of saving a file, PDFEdit offered normal user directories
AND hidden directories.
I keep asking myself who would want to save a changed PDF document to a
hidden directory.

Test installed Ubuntu 9.04 32-Bit Desktop on an Eee PC - 4G surf (701).
Every now and then the screen starts to flicker heavily and the mouse
cannot be used (mouse pointer does not move). To me it seems as if this
was some bug in some part of Ubuntu that manages the X server.
At CNET News they say: "Zimbra's server software is Java-based software
that competes chiefly with Microsoft Exchange. People who need to access
it to use e-mail, calendars and contact lists can use a basic Web
browser interface or a fancier Ajax-based interface."
