Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager-core
Just performing an update 7.10 -> 8.04 and being asked wether some /ect/sysctl.conf file is to be replaced. I remember having been asked similar questions during other updates, always related to configuration files. I bet that 99% of all users can't answer questions like that. My proposal: Always give some non-technical explanation what it would lead to if either you keep the old file or have it replaced by the new one. ** Affects: update-manager-core (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Questions during update too difficult (8.04) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/229338 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
