Now that probert is updated in edge i could finally check why this
problem appears in the first place. So the wifi listener from probert
does not start when the cfg80211 kernel module is not loaded. This
module gets usually pulled in with whatever wifi driver module gets

The issue I had was there where two versions of VirtualBox on my host, and
the PC was in Secure Mode which wouldn't let me download third-party
programs. Once I fixed this issues and reinstalled the program, it worked.

I did a fresh install of ubuntu 16.04.1 on an asus x556uak laptop and
noticed that when connected to AC and the battery is not charging the
system shows the battery icon as discharging , but when the battery has
discharged a little and when connected again it charges, then sys
I've verified this works on the latest Debian upload and documented the
Debian (and Ubuntu) differences here:
