After my previous comment, I realized I had not run apt-get update and apt-get
upgrade, so I did that on the command line and a lot of updates were installed.
Still, after restarting
sudo ppa-purge ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa gives the same warning as before.

Tested on Ubuntu Precise alpha 1 - the program ran correctly. It seemed
to have some difficulty catching the key presses, but I think it's a
VirtualBox glitch.
