Current daily build (22 Dec 2007 07:40) has same problem. I verified
that the MD5 checksum was ok before I burned the iso to a CD using Nero
on Windows XP, verified the burn with Nero. Still the "Check CD"
doesn't work on the live CD.

Same setup here: syncing an ext3 fs to a vfat USB disk on Gutsy.
Changing the PRF file actually solves the problem, but a more generic
problem remains. Gnome-mount should mount the VFAT volumes with the
"quiet" option by default, to avoid errors when trying to set Unix-like
permissions.

It is still the same here with a fresh install of Kubuntu 7.10 gutsy
(includes KDE 3.5.8 now).
BTW - Gentoo with KDE 3.5.7 is ok and even with 3.5.5 or 3.5.6 there were no
problems.

Hi guys. I've just install Xubuntu 7.10 on the same notebook, and I have
