Yes, that would make sense because if it's a modal dialog, you can't
type in the main application window anyway. That's the only case I see
where "stealing" the focus is OK, and it's not really stealing because
that's what a modal dialog does *by definition*.

I'm experiencing this issue as well. It happens once every 5-10 times.
I've reassigned this bug to the i810 X driver for now, but I suspect it
might be a kernel issue since restarting X has no effect.

I now get the splash when I reboot the machine. The link in /etc/alternatives/
to usplash was broken. Fixed that to point to

Installed Ubuntu Edgy Beta 1 yesterday. I am unable to install either
Google Earth or Enemy Territory. Both installers are in the form of a
.bin or .run file. I fear this problem may affect other installers (such

as a result of all of the above:
- we can sync cpio 2.6-17 into edgy
- I need permission to upload cpio 2.6-10ubuntu0.1 to dapper-proposed and to
include "SRU granted by XXX" to the changelog.
once permission in granted and upload done i can continue with the SRU
procedure for QA and etc.
I did all of the above. I still get the same grey box, with the geometry
info.

I confirm this bug here. Something that shall really be looked.
One thought : to make the system delete (or copy to another trash
folder) the oldest files of .trash-username folder, as more free space
is requested by the user.

Looks like there was something strange going on with the theme. As i
switched from default to another and then back to default, the Dropping
worked again.
There are/were some issues with links on php-generated websites too.
Namely the page of Wordpress and some phpbb-sites. I will report those,

Module loading is performed by modprobe, which is run by udev.
Modules can only be automatically loaded if they have associated
hardware, which the fuse modules does not. This means you either need
