My best guess here is that mkinitramfs is not creating a valid initramfs
on powerpc from an xfs filesystem. The message about not being able to
mount the rootfs should not ever be seen so long as the initrd is valid.
The other possibility (which would explain the powerpc dependence of
this bug) is
Shouldn't be between x86 and ia64 (both of which are little-endian).
But who knows. Rejecting on the basis of either cramfs works like this,
or RH changed compatibility, or maybe it's just tool/kernel version
mismatch.

I'm afraid we can't do anything with this bug without further
information; but at any rate it looks very much like a badly-burned CD
or a dirty CD drive. I suggest investigating these problems.

changing the string.

speaking about stability, is there issue if you don't use the python
feature? If that's python specific, is there many users playing with it?
Note that building with -O0 is a workaround and will likely lead to get
nobody bothering about the bug enough to fix it after that since it'll
have no effect
Cannot find relevant part in the current edgy sources. Maybe the docs
changed?

I know eiciel is not (yet) a supported ubuntu package, but,
If ubuntu is going support the beagle-engine later-on then ea/acl-support is
paramount:
- the file-system should be mounted with acl,user_xattr on installation

Mateusz should not have rejected this bug. While I appreciate help, I
wish people wouldn't take items off my to-do list without asking me
first! Rejecting bugs on actively-maintained packages should be left to
those maintaining the package.

And Mateusz, the specification process is too heavyweight for this IMO.
I would rather that that specification did not exist - a bug report is
just fine.
